On January 18th, 2025, Kroma in South Jakarta came alive with excitement as researchers and professionals gathered for our fifth Beyond Meetup. The topic, Beyond the Research Role featured Adam Nurilman, Director of Mindworks Lab, as our special guest speaker.
Adam’s talk was full of practical advice and personal stories. He showed how research skills can open doors to many different careers. His own journey—from being a researcher to becoming a director—was an inspiring example of how flexible these skills can be.
What made this meetup even better was the active involvement of the audience. They asked lots of questions and shared their own experiences, turning the talk into a lively discussion. Everyone had something valuable to say, making the session more engaging and fun.
As the event came to a close, many stayed behind, chatting, sharing ideas, and making new connections over coffee and snacks. That’s the beauty on attending offline events.
We’re proud to have reached our fifth meetup and are excited to keep the momentum going in 2025. Each session has shown the strength of the research community in Indonesia, and we’re eager to bring more interesting topics to future meetups.
